The Patriot Caucus of Illinois

Welcome to the Patriot Caucus of Illinois!

The Patriot Caucus, referred to by many as the "electoral arm" of the Tea Party Movement, is focusing its Illinois efforts on getting Adam Kinzinger elected to Congress. Our efforts will primarily work to defeat liberal incumbent Democrat Debbie Halvorson.

Anyone in the 10th district...I just called Dan Seals campaign to see where he stood on the health care bill (as I had a dispute with someone I said he'd be against due to no single payer option, she said he'd be for as he's a democrat) per his office he is not taking a stand because he has not read the bill? What? The original bill has been out for a long time and the reconciliation points are out now and even I've skimmed them! Call or email his office and ask what his stand is or why he hasn't taken one!? This is THE most important legislation of our time and he can't make the time to follow it?

Yes I speak with John regularly. I think I get some of this and have had it explained to me before but when it comes to this type of information. Repitition works best . I was the average voter until about a year ago. This is all new and their is so much to learn!!!! My heart is to learn as much as I can and share with others and help TAKE BACK AMERICA..I am organizing for the table for the Put Back Ammendment at the Rockford Tea Party on April 6, 2010...Looking for Volunteers to help with the table.
I have asisted to get the Putback Amendment presented at a few events over the past few weeks! I have local meetings and have several folks including myself mobilized getting petitions signed.. I want to be able to speak clearly and concisely to this issue when asked questioned...Thanks for all your help everyone in TAKING AMERICA BACK
starting right here in Illinois!!! Any and all info on this will be helpful.

Unicameral means there is only 1 legislative chamber instead of 2 as it is now. Basically there would essentially be a State Senate and no State House.

Carol, I have some knowledge and I'll try to post what I can. Have you or anyone else had contact with John Bambenek? I wrote a piece for my blog and Illinois Review about it a while back and have corresponded with him.

I'm going to go to the websites this weekend Fair Map and Put Back and watch the presentations...they both have them. Put Back seems it's a little intricate so hopefully it will answer my many questions about it. ..Carol you are not a dummie..this is a wee bit complicated. I read the thing and totally missed Senators replacing the Representatives so I guess it needs to be presented to me and not just read by me.

Sam it seems like you have VERY good knowledge on Put Back...Could you post a Gerrymandering for "Dummies" .. I heard it but I just can not explain it...Thanks for making te unicameral v. bi cameral so simple to understand:) I am a dumb dumb dummie :)

Would this then elimate a needed check and balance?

Putback adds Senators, but eliminates Reps... so the number stays the same but the legislature becomes unicameral as opposed to bicameral.
