My question is one of ownership. Who owns what in this country? Mass media shuffles back and forth on this. One minute they are telling us that we are the Employers of the Government. While in the same breath they tell us that these employees have the final say in all matters regardless of how we feel. That we are heading towards a socialist state because Government [our employee] is buying financial and industrial institutions - thus practicing socialist nationalism. Are we not the Government ? And if so do we own whatever the Government buys?
I present a description of Socialism.
[ Many socialists, from Henri de Saint-Simon, one of the founders of early socialism (Utopian Socialism), to Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx, advocated for the creation of a society that allows for the widespread application of modern technology to rationalise economic activity by eliminating the anarchy of capitalist production.[8]HYPERLINK \l "cite_note-8"[9] They reasoned that this would allow for wealth and power to be distributed based on the amount of work expended in production, although there is disagreement among socialists over how and to what extent this can be achieved.]

Which one is it, do we own this country or do 545 Senators and Representatives plus the President and the Supreme Court do?
Americans have to make up their minds which way to go.
I for one see it this way. The American people own everything, Lock stock and barrel. Any one person can bring any product to market that will be for the welfare of the people. But it is the people that will bring that product to bear fruit for everyone. Government is not a separate entity enclosed in a Marble temple on some hill, or in a Whitehouse with an inflated ego by the votes that brought them there. Or by a forum of justices having job security that rivals the Holy See. Take note the vote has changed evidenced by the depleting popularity of said Government, and it is time to acknowledge your ignorance of it Mr. President.
We are being dehumanized to the point that industry is trying to forge us into a tool for the amassing of its fortunes. I don't mind that leaders of industry live in a opulent manner after all if it wasn't for Mr. Bill Gates and Mr. Jobs and many others in industry we would not have the lap top, and programs that enable me to write this commentary.
Or the lamp that illuminates the area where I'm working. I suggest reading [ Tesla a man out of time] by Margaret Chaney; "Called a madman by some, a genius by others, and an enigma by nearly everyone. Nikola Tesla was possibly the greatest inventor the world has ever known".
He was the one that gave us the neon light, alternating current, and many other scientific theories that even today are being used by NASA. Yet the man was raped by the likes of Westinghouse taking advantage of the scientist by stealing his patents that brought riches to himself and not to the real owner of the technology. The book is an excellent look at America during its Industrial Revolution. I recommended highly!
Still the American worker that made industry so overwhelmingly wealthy enabling these Robber Barons to bring their products to market, should be able to partake a little more on the acquisition of wealth. In other words. Pay us more money for the work we do so we can live wealthy also. Maybe not at the same level as a Mr. Gates, but surely we would not want for anything if we where paid more money. Are we worth it? You better believe it we are. With out us this ship goes no where. To the present government, stop throwing away our money you arrogant imbeciles!
Industry may go to other countries, but they still have to sell their product in the market place. America is one of the largest market places in the world.
Imagine what it would do to them if they loose the American consumer ? Do you think that's far fetched? Right now we only have enough money to buy the essentials and that is becoming harder to do. Some one some where is depleting this countries strength, and we need to identify the source and vanquish it before we are unable.
I do not advocate the equal distribution of money, after all one has to work for it. But I do repugn the manner in which the American people are being treated by those in industry and government.
Socialism being looked at as Government take over is an oxymoron. If we are to believe that we own, or are the Government. Industry is another matter that needs to be analyzed carefully. For Government and industry can be identified as one. I suggest taking a look at the World Economic Forum.
What do we own? We are the engine that runs both Government and Industry. We have a name, it is society; We the People !
Our hard earned money is being manipulated along with our rights by an overbearing self centered government that does not want to listen to its Employer.
If there is going to be any kind of "socialism" it is not going to come from Government or Industry. It is going to come from the people. We dictate to Government what social programs will advance the American people to a level of wealth that comes from hard work, We dictate to industry what will be our compensation. We are not a welfare nation, nor a nation that creates homelessness. We take care of our own. If we can't have it the way we want it then Government and Industry will suffer the consequences of depleting dividends along with us.
Either Government and Industry listen to the workers of America, or We the People will sink this ship with all on board. If one American is poor then we all are,
and that includes the Obamas and the Gates of this world!
Ask yourself, what is my American dream?
What say you!
