The Patriot Caucus

Within the media, on the 'net waves and within the latest movements designed to work towards restoring our Republic back to the people, we encounter continuous arguments regarding "Independents'" effects on the Republican Party. We also hear continuous arguments as to how the difference between moderates and conservatives are leading to a deleterious affect on the Republican Party. Those who know my views should recognize that I am an independent philosopher of politics who supports our Constitutional principles as designed by our Founding Fathers. For the sake of argument, allow me to focus on the problems within the Republican Party with a few points of opinion:
1. Senator McCain lost the 2008 election because of his "compromising" approach towards resolving legislative issues during his political career. This is a definition of a moderate Republican and this approach is what disenfranchised so many conservative voters who chose not to vote for McCain. His campaign's mismanagement of Palin's conservative voice led to the same problems with conservative voters. Despite her immediate attraction to conservatives following the VP announcement, the McCain campaign staff became just as guilty of degrading Palin as the liberals, because she was not a compromiser. Check out your political history and you'll see this same mistake of those moderate/compromising Presidents (regardless of partY)of the past.
2. Everyone must clearly define their principles and values of either small government, constitutional principles as written and designed, and defined morals and Christian ethics or those principles of large government involvement, spending policies that leave the country in continuous debt, disregard of constitutional rights and mandates, and lack of Christian ethics (in other words, liberal approaches). There is no longer any room for compromising between the two approaches.
3. The current Republican National Committee is undergoing internal issues as to where their real platform is aimed towards. Moderate thinkers (who haven't been listening lately anymore than liberal thinkers) are in conflict with conservative thinkers in establishing a clear policy and platform. Michael Steele has his hands full in establishing a viable and believable platform for the party. This has been recognized by the RGA (Republican Governors Association) in particular.
4. As We, the People, it is well past time to get past arguing about moderates vs. conservatives. We, the People now have the opportunity to work together in selecting, campaigning and electing candidates on the local, state and federal levels of government who believe in the American spirit and ability, reflects principles and values, morals and Christian ethics that you believe in, supports our Constitutional rights as granted to us, and are running for office not because they want to be or are a politician but because they desire to represent their electorate rightfully, yet have some reluctance to run for office. When you have someone who is reluctant to run for office, you have a true Patriot who sees the need to have honorable men and women to represent We, the People in their applicable areas.

And I am with you 100%, as anyone who has read and discussed my previous postings will tell you. This great country was designed to include all individuals, regardless of their differences in religious beliefs. In our learning process, the U.S.A. had to learn the hard way and recognize that this applied to any citizen, regardless of race or sex. But those lessons have resulted in a stronger country which has always been there for others when needed; even when we are not appreciated for it as years go by. You said "we need to look past the differences in this country and start looking at a future where we all are contributors th the Democratic experiment." I'm asking you to look past any differences (qualms) which you have honestly misconstrued as regarding religious references. I have explained about my Christian reference and I have stated that there was no intended disregard to any other religion. Other readers who read over this post (I believe) will recognize my intention. And they will also see where you and I agree on how important it is to include all Americans in this Great Experiment, which is still evolving today. Hence, the reason why We, the People, are obliged by our Founding Fathers to work towards stopping the direction our country is going and restoring our Republic back to it's basic foundation.

Mr. Conant, I thank you very much for your reply, I can see your point, but may I bring something out to you . A staunch Muslim, or Hebrew , or any other Religious sect may not see your intentions. clearly. I don't know how many people belonging to other religious sects are part of this forum. I would welcome their input in this matter to learn how they feel, and how they see America and The Tea Party Organisation in this matter.
I will not apologize for my observation, I think that we need to say what we mean not our intentions. The reason for my last statement is that one may misconstrue what exactly is being said. This would help tremendously in our understanding of the position that we all take in these discussions

Eric, I agree with you completely. As independent thinkers, movers and shakers, our efforts must focus on voicing our opinions and getting more involved, educating our fellow members and the public as a whole as to the actual Constitutional principles and support those candidates who adopt a consistent pro-Constitution platform. (If these words sound familiar, it's because I borrowed them from you since you so eloquently summed up the whole thesis of my original post; Thank you).

P.S. I would like to know how you surmised the following comment out of what I wrote: "Where I disagree is your assertion that the Republican Party can achieve long-term success through the promotion of an agenda of regulation based on social conservatism." I am most interested in how you came to that conclusion from what I originally wrote.

Thanks,
Bill

Glad to help. Now let's go to work and find some real Patriots who will represent We, the People by legislating withing the boundaries of the Constitution (whether it be in a state or the federal government).

Your fellow Patriot,
Bill

Bill,
Very interesting. It would be great to redo the entire platform. I'm not kidding. Now is the time to take sharp steps to the conservative right. Shorten the platform if need be with concentration on only a few political issues and yes make it the party of No! Especially to tax increases, cap and trade and no to illegal immigration. We must be specific and keep declaring that we have the will of the people.

Oh! And expose once and for all the fraud involved in Global Warming. Force scientists from everywhere to police their own, otherwise we will never ever be able to trust scientific facts ever again. This is huge corruption with the intent to create on world government. Globalism. The academic world needs to correct this themselves or their credibility is gone forever.

The GOP and Tea Party must not allow a conservative third party candidate to appear on the ballots as it will be disasterous for the GOP. The best way to do that is to get conservative GOP candidates into the election process and that begins with the platform and the party to quit trying to please everyone.
